JAPAN BRAND supported by the Ministry of Economy,Trade and Industry, Japan.

The collaboration between DOMO ADAMI and SHIMA-SHIMA originates from a common passion to pursue the intricacy of textiles. Noriko Tsuiki, the distinguished Japanese textile designer, creates designs inspired by the culture of traditional Japanese weaving. Mauro Adami, the designer and creative director of the bridal gown brand Domo Adami, offers a technologically advanced and sensual interpretation of contemporary fabrics.

Furoshiki of the Kokura-ori "SHIMA- SHIMA" design was awarded the Good Design Award for the Year 2010. We could not have done this without your love and unwavering support. We would like to express our appreciation to you all.

Ms. Noriko Tsuiki, the textile artist who supervises the design for
SHIMA- SHIMA, won the Encouragement Award at the 57th Japan Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition (organized by the Japan Art Crafts Association, Asahi Shimbun & other sponsors). The prize went to "Vestiges" (Omokage), an obi sash of cotton with Kokura stripes.

Ms. Noriko Tsuiki, the textile artist who supervises the designs for "SHIMA-SHIMA" at our Kokura Creation was awarded the Asahi Shimbun Award at the 45th Seibu Traditional Art Crafts Exhibition. The prize went to, "Oborokage" (Faint Shadow), an obi sash of cotton with Kokura stripes.
